Areas of Specialty:
Diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer and endometriosis as well as clinical research. She is well known for her skills to carry out difficult surgeries. Dr. Liu was the first to carry out laparoscopic radical surgery for cervical cancer in China. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult gynecological diseases, the surgical treatment of benign and malignant gynecological tumors, the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, and the laparoscopic surgery of various gynecological diseases.

Dr Liu has been engaged in the clinical work of Gynecology for more than 30 years
Academic Achievement:
She has presided over 4 top-level projects of the National Natural Foundation of China and two scientific research projects of Shanghai Municipality. She has published more than 30 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in recent years.
Honors, Awards and Professional Memberships:
Currently, she is the head of the Endometriosis Group of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Section of the Shanghai Medical Association. She is also the Chief expert of the integrated team of cervical cancer/endometriosis diagnosis and treatment in Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University;
Dr. Liu was awarded a patent for invention, and served as deputy editor-in-chief of the monograph “Endometriosis”. She was awarded the third prize of China Medical Science and Technology Award and the second prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award;
She hosted the first Asian Congress on Endometriosis and chaired the World Congress on Endometriosis in 2020;
Dr. Liu has been a leading physician in the international arena in proposing that endometriosis is an epigenetic disease and established a clinical assessment system for predicting endometriosis recurrence.
